The course is dedicated to those who would like to have an in-depth contact with clay and the wheel to create unique tableware objects.
The Workshop gives you the chance to improve your skills quickly in a small group of 4 participants.
We will start every session with an outline of the design and i will help you to realise it step by step.
Day 1 –2,5 h – Jars Lidded forms. We will start by looking at the different solutions to make a lidded jar, creating alternative shapes and galleries for the lid to rest, using the proper tools to achieve precision.
Day 2 – 2,5 h – Trimming and Decorating Jars. We will trim the pieces and decorate with colours, carving, cutting and giving texture.
Day 3 – 2,5 h – Cake Stands. We will design and create the pieces to compose a cake stand like bowls, plates and cylinders.
Day 4 – 2,5 h – Trimming/Assembling/ Decorating Stands. We will trim the pieces, assemble the cake stands and decorate with colours, carving, cutting and giving texture.
Day 5 – 2,5 h – Glazing Session. You will have the chance to glaze your works with different techniques like dipping, pouring and brushing.
Glazing Day is flexible: you can also take part in the session of another group.

A bit of experience at the wheel is required.
Prices are per person.
Your glazed works will be fired at 1240 °C in 2-3 Weeks. I will let you know when they are ready for pick up.
If you cannot attend the glazing day, you can join another the session of another group.
